My entry for this week for Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge . This week’s topic is Two different things or the number two – Opposites or two totally unrelated subjects or simply use the number 2.
LIGHT AND DARK
Light and dark, two opposites. The absence of one leading to the presence of the other. Light always eradicates the dark but the dark can never take over the light. I use that sentence with both literal meaning as well as the deeper one.
First is the traditional oil lamp or Diya that I light everyday. The second is another traditional lamp called “Tookh Vilak” translated it means ‘Hanging Lamp’. The latter is more common in houses of South India.
STATIONARY AND IN FLIGHT
Again two opposites. A bird in flight while the other sits idly and looks on.
CAT & THE FLOWERS
She stared at the flowers for a full two seconds before snatching it and tearing it apart. No clue as to how the flowers offended her but her decision and it’s punishment were dealt out quickly.
